Understanding oneness goes beyond the surface of difference in modernIndiato examine how each of us reconciles our many voices and identities. In a sincere attempt to go beyond the surface imagery and trying to penetrate deeper into the essence or the space that the artists come from; I present this show. The energy that drives their work and the quality of this energy engaged in their body of work is the curatorial concern of this show.

“Understanding Oneness promotes contributions that critically and sensually confront existential phenomena of our life. Each work will be there to speak for itself.  In whole, correspondences among works or realms – meditative, emotive and conceptual, whether harmonious or discordant – will, in my opinion, stimulate the public’s attention to the diversity of feelings, materials, topics and ways of involving viewers that distinguishes these art works, which, though created in different spaces, are all conjugated in the present tense”.

Some come from a meditative space – the abstract works that come from a pure state of being – works of purists from the non – representational space; others work from an emotional plane where their process of art is emotionally driven; and still others that engage in their work from a mental space absorbed by the intellectual and conceptual.

“As one looks within one’s own space, the realm of human existence, one sees this pluralistic existentiality present right there. There is the meditative no – mind state and then there is the emotional and mental complexity filled with thoughts and concerns of a wide range. On the plane of existence one deals with this duality all the time.”

When the entire family of humanity understands that each of our thoughts, choices, and actions affect us all, we will share an incredible level of consciousness – one that puts our oneness above all else and helps us evolve into higher expressions of our selves.
